"It's
a RIGHT for a child to be safe, NOT a PRIVILEGE"

SAFETY TIPS that Every Child
should know to be SAFE
Trust your intuition, you're gut feeling.
Be aware, aware of where you are and who
is around you
Never go anywhere alone, always take a
friend, your BUDDY.
Always let your parent(s) or the person
in charge know;
Where you are going,
How you will get there,
Who will be going with you,
When you will return
If your plans change, remember number 4.
Let your parent(s) or the person in charge
know if someone has tried to give you a gift, money, candy
or has asked you to help them do something, like look for
their dog, cat or a kid.
If someone touches you in a way that makes
you uncomfortable, IT IS NOT OK. Do not keep it a secret.
Tell someone you trust, like a parent, teacher, police officer,
or grandparent immediately.
Many people care about you and it is never
too late to ask for help. Tell an adult you trust if you
have a problem too big for you to handle.
Remember, an adult will NEVER have a reason to ask
you to go with them to HELP them with something. Adults
have other adults that can help, YOU can ask an adult for
help, but if they ask you to go with them to help them with
anything, turn, run, and scream....
